<description>🔐 CodeWeek4All 2026 – Decode Our Cities! 🌍 EU Code Week 2026 takes place from 10th to 25th October 2026. This year, we will take part in CodeWeek4All with a collaborative activity connected to our eTwinning project “Be My Guide! – Our European Adventure”. Our activity is called:🌍 “Decode Our Cities!” In this activity, students from the partner schools will share something interesting about their city through a secret message written in ASCII code. Each school will create a short sentence in English about a characteristic feature of its city and convert it into ASCII code. The coded message will then be sent to another partner school through our common Taskcard. The partner students will have to decode the numbers and discover the original message!💻 How will it work? 1️⃣ Think about your cityChoose something interesting that you would like the other students to discover about your city. It could be: a famous landmark 🏛️ a special place 🌳 a local product 🍎 a traditional food 🍽️ a tradition 🎉 something your city is famous for ⭐ 2️⃣ Write your message Write one short sentence in English about your city. For example:Drama is famous for its wine. Try to make your sentence interesting but not too difficult to decode. 3️⃣ Encode your message Use the common ASCII table to convert each character of your sentence into its corresponding number. For example: A = 65 B = 66 C = 67💡 Remember: spaces also have an ASCII code! 4️⃣ Send your secret message Your coded message will be posted on our common Taskcard, in the section of the partner school assigned to you.🔐 Do not reveal the original sentence! The partner students should discover it by decoding the numbers.📌 Common Taskcard: EU Code Week Taskcard🔗 Who sends the message to whom? Each participating school will send one secret message to another partner school and will decode a different message received from another school. 5️⃣ Decode another city's message You will receive a secret message in ASCII code from another partner school. Use the common ASCII table to decode it and discover the original English sentence. Work together and see if you can reveal the secret message!🔓 Can you discover what the other school wants to tell you about its city? 6️⃣ Reveal the message Once you have decoded the message, write the original sentence in English as a reply to the coded message on the Taskcard.🎉 You have just discovered something about another European city through code!</description>
